Homemade bundt cake with condensed milk

Equipment

  • 22 x 10 cm (10 x 3 inches) bundt cake pan or similar volume loaf cake pan.

Ingredients

  • 1 can or 14 oz condensed milk
  • 4 eggs (room temperature)
  • 40 grams (1.5 oz) melted butter
  • 120 grams (1 cup) all purpose flour
  • 10 grams (2 teaspoons) baking powder
  • Some orange or lemon zest for flavour

Instructions

  1. Set the oven to heat to 160° C or 320° F.
  2. Grease the cake pan with soft butter or oil and put it aside.
  3. In a bowl mix eggs and condensed milk.
  4. Add in the bowl and mix in the melted butter.
  5. Sift in the flour and baking powder.
  6. Mix the batter by hand using a wooden spoon or a spatula until everything is well integrated and the batter is smooth.
  7. Mix in the orange or lemon zest.
  8. Put the batter in the prepared pan and put it in the oven to bake for approximately 40 to 50 minutes till the cake looks nice and golden brown.
  9. Check the cake by inserting a toothpick in the middle. The cake is ready of the toothpick comes out clean and dry. Otherwise bake the cake for a few more minutes and check again.
  10. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing it from the pan.
